Can anyone help? Mech commander 2 on windows 10? How?

This web site came up on a fluke, SO GLAD it did. I am a mech commander geek. Well I went out and order II. But I cannot get it to run on Windows 10. I downloaded the free trial from fileplanet and it ran no problems.
The CD loads, install prompts all come up. The game loads 100%
Click on play, nothing but back to home screen.
Windows 10 has a compatibility test that tell me nothing. But you can't seen to right click and run in compatibility mode any more.
Any help appreciated, I would love to get this game back up.

I don't have Windows 10 either, but maybe you can try this version instead:

I can confirm that the Microsoft download (above) works on my Windows 10 laptop. I didn't require any forced compatability and just ran the Mc2Rel.exe in the FinalBuild folder.

Windows 10 doesn't support the old DRM Systems (Secure Rom or other) anymore. Perhaps that could be the Problem. But I also don't know what Copy Protection MechCommander 2 uses. Don't own a Copy. But its Strange that you could load it up to the Menu if that were the Case.

Hey I'm also looking to get MC2 working on windows 10 with no hard copy of MC2. Did you ever resolve your issue?
